Aj Sik Mitran Dei Wadheriye Aaa Lyrics & Translation
Aj Sik Mitran Di Wadheriye
Kyun dilri udaas ghaneriey
Why is the yearning for the loved One (Holy Prophet ) is especially strong daily?
Why is my heart sadder today than ever before?
Lon lon wich showq changeriye
Aaj neina nain laiyan kyun jhariyan
Why does longing penetrate every tissue of mine?
And why are the eyes shedding tears like a shower of rain?
Subhanallah subhanallah, subhanallah subhanallah.
Mukh chand badr shah shani aye
Mathay chamke laat noorani aey
His face shines like the full moon
A brilliant light radiates from his brow
Kali zulf tay akh mastani aey
Makhmoor akheen hen madh bharian
His hair is black, and his eyes are bewitched and intoxicated
Subhanallah Subhan Allah, Subhanallah Subhan Allah.
Do abro kos misal day saan
Jadoon nokay mujhday teer chutan
Laban surkh akhan kay lal e yaman
Chitay dan moti diyan hen lariyan.
Subhanallah Subhan Allah, Subhanallah Subhan Allah.
Is surat noun main jaan aakhan
Jaan aakhan kay jaan e jahan akhaan
I am not sure whether I should call his
face the essence of life, or life of the entire universe.
Sach aakhan tey Rab di shaan akhaan
Jis shaan tun shaanan sab baniyan
The truth is that it is (like) the Glory of God, from which
all other (worldly) glories originated.
Subhanallah Subhan Allah, Subhanallah Subhan Allah.
Subhanallah maa ajmalaka
Ma ahsanaka maa akmalaka
Glory to Allah, who created (O Holy Prophet ) in the most beautiful,
the best and the most perfect mould.
Kithay Mehr Ali kithay Teri sana
Gustakh akheen, kithay ja ariyaan
Where is (the humble) Mehr Ali to chant your praise
How (presumptions and) impudent his eyes are to aspire to the heights of you Love!
Subhanallah subhanallah, subhanallah subhanallah.
Aya soorat shala peysh nazar
Rahey waqt naza, tey rowzay hashr.
This face (of the Holy Prophet ) emerged from the Faceless One (i.e. Allah)
May this face (of the Holy Prophet ) remain before my eyes, in my last moments (of life) and on the Resurrection Day!
Wich qabr tey pal theen jad howsi guzar
Sab khowtiya theen tad khariya
Then (also) in my grave, and at the time of crossing (razor sharp) Bridge
(on the Day of Judgement as a test to separate the virtous ones from the sinners).
Subhanallah subhanallah, subhanallah subhanallah.
